Although you’re not required to provide us with a trusted contact, you may want to consider adding one to your Frec account. The individual you add must be 18 years or older and you should provide us with correct contact information. By providing the name and contact information for a trusted contact, you authorize us to contact them in limited circumstances. Those circumstances include when we have a concern about the activity in your account and are unable to contact you directly.
A trusted contact may be a family member, attorney, accountant or another third-party who you believe would respect your privacy and know how to handle the responsibility. You can learn more about Trusted Contacts on our regulator’s website by clicking here.
You can update or add a trusted contact to your Frec account at any time by clicking your name on the upper right-hand corner of the platform. From there click “Account settings” in the dropdown menu. Stay on the “Profile” tab and click the word “Edit” at the upper right-hand corner of the “Trusted contact” box at the very bottom of the web page. Please make sure to keep this information up to date.
