What's available

We offer trading of most mega-cap, large-cap, and mid-cap stocks, along with ETFs, ETNs, and ADRs traded on major U.S. exchanges. Mega-cap, large-cap, and mid-cap stocks and ETFs tend to allow customers to borrow more cash against them.

OTC securities

Some direct indices offer exposure to ADRs that trade over-the-counter (OTC). Frec doesn't currently support trading OTC securities in self-managed portfolios, except to close positions transferred in from another broker. OTC securities also generally aren't eligible to serve as collateral for borrowing, since their prices can move more sharply than exchange-listed securities.

Symbols priced under $1

Symbols priced under $1 aren't supported for new trades. Only closing orders can be placed on existing positions in these securities.
