Account types

What type of accounts does Frec offer?

Frec only allows you to open margin brokerage accounts. The following types of margin brokerage accounts can be opened on our platform:

  • Individual
  • Joint tenant with right of survivorship
  • Joint tenants in Common
  • Revocable trust
  • Irrevocable trust
  • Entity (C Corp, S Corp, LLC, Partnership, Business Trust)

Note that you can only have one individual account on Frec and one trust account per TIN/SSN. For example, if Trust A and Trust B are both under the same TIN, we would only be able to open one of them.

Does Frec support retirement accounts?

Currently, Frec does not support retirement accounts (e.g., IRAs, Roth IRAs, 401(k)s, or Self-401(k)s).
